DAM at MAREconvention

The MAREconvention will take place on August 29, 2026, at the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site Visitor Center. The event aims to bring together perspectives from various stakeholders in science, nature conservation, and politics. The organizers are NABU Lower Saxony, the Wadden Sea National Park, and the Wilhelmshaven Future Workshop.

Knowledge will be shared and exchanged through presentations, panel discussions, and debates. In addition to expert presentations, current initiatives will be showcased, such as projects addressing plastic waste and ghost nets.

At booths set up throughout the museum, visitors can learn more about various organizations. The DAM has its booth on the third floor. There, visitors can explore the Interactive World Ocean. The World Ocean offers virtual diving tours and brings the planet’s oceans and coasts to life. Visitors can also solve a crossword puzzle using the ocean map.
