Core Areas of the DAM
The DAM brings together leading German marine research institutions. It addresses issues in marine research that are relevant to the future of society through joint research missions meeting the highest standards. To this end, existing and new infrastructures, technologies and information systems are being further improved and expanded. Together, science-based courses of action for the sustainable management of the oceans are to be developed and communicated to society and policy-makers. The DAM is particularly active in four core areas:
