4th DAM research mission

The DAM is currently preparing a fourth DAM research mission, which is envisaged to start in 2028. Its aim is to address issues of societal relevance and develop science-based options for action.

The structural design of the mission (e.g. its scope and duration) is currently being discussed with the DAM Administrative Council and the funders. In parallel, the process of identifying and selecting a topic for the mission has been initiated. Topic proposals submitted by DAM member institutions, some of them jointly with stakeholders, are currently being discussed within the DAM’s organs and committes (Member´s General Assembly, Stakeholder Forum, International Advisory Board and Administrative Council). Based on the feedback received and the recommendations of the Advisory Board, the DAM Administrative Council and the funders will decide on the topic of the fourth mission.
