Harmonised data flow

In addition to a standardised data infrastructure, SOPs and workflows were developed for the large research vessels (Maria S. Merian, Meteor, Polarstern, Sonne). En route data from ADCP, CTD, multibeam echo sounder, fluorometer and TSG of these vessels are provided uniformly via the German Marine Research data portal. Work is currently underway to extend this to medium-sized research vessels (FS ALKOR, VWFS ATAIR, FS ELISABETH MANN BORGESE and FS HEINCKE). The aim is to harmonise and standardise the individual process chains in a similar way to the large research vessels.
